This years running of Camp Wilderness is scheduled for July 8-10 at School Section Lake campground near Remus, MI ( about 30 min west of Mt. Pleasant).
This will be the 6th annual running of Camp Wilderness, where young outdoors ethusiasts ages 11-15 can earn their Michigan Hunters Safety/International Bowhunter Education certificates over the course of a 3 day summer camp. Along with getting a great interactive hands on hunter safety program, the kids can also enjoy all the usual summer camp activites. Cost for the Camp is $75.00 .
At this time our enrollment for this years Camp Wilderness is down from what we've come to expect.
I'm asking anyone who frequents this site to see if they have any kids in their family or neighborhood, local clubs or scouts who would like to attend this years camp.
We need to get them registered ASAP so we have a final count, but if you're lagging behind please call me so that we can be sure to get everyone in that we can.
To send a youngster to Camp, go to www.campwilderness.org and click on "Send A Kid" to download the camp application/enrollment form. Then mail it in ASAP.
If anyone has any questions about Camp Wilderness, you can either call or email me .
